About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Finance Business Partner to join our high-performing Finance Business Partnering team. This is a strategic role that goes beyond the numbers – you’ll be a trusted advisor to senior managers and directors, influencing decisions and ensuring best practices in financial management.
What You'll Be Doing:

Deliver expert financial advice and analysis to drive value for money across the Council
*
Partner with directorates on complex programmes and contracts
*
Lead on planning and performance reporting, helping to shape long-term strategies
*
Influence and challenge senior leadership using your insight and understanding
*
Ensure robust financial control and continuous improvement across services
About You
You are a CCAB-qualified (or part-qualified) finance professional with a strong track record in financial management, ideally within a large, complex organisation – local government experience is a plus. You have:

Proven experience advising and supporting senior leaders

Excellent communication, analytical and influencing skills
*
A proactive approach to problem-solving and driving financial improvements
*
A passion for public service and making a tangible impact
