Overview
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Syon Grange School in Isleworth, London. You will deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. This role works within the education setting and aligns with the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working, with support from a designated clinical supervisor and site lead. The post involves holding an OT caseload and contributing to staff training and consultation as required.
Location
Syon Grange School – Isleworth, London TW7 5AJ (with flexibility to work across our Hillingdon Manor sites as required).
Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke OT assessment and intervention to pupils within an education setting.
* Collaborate with education teams to support pupils’ independence and development.
* Maintain an occupational therapy caseload under supervision and contribute to staff training and consultation.
* Work within the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working and adhere to governing and professional body requirements.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid HCPC Registration
* Registered member of RCOT
* Relevant experience in providing OT services in a similar setting is preferable
* Experience with neurodivergent individuals and/or those with learning difficulties or SEMH in any setting, with transferable skills
* Knowledge of OT theory and practical application to support independence
* Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty (preferred)
* Ability to work independently, be flexible and confident
* Clear and concise report writing skills
* Full UK driving licence with access to a car
* Interest in sensory integration or SI practice (training in progress or completed is preferable but not essential)
Hours, Contract & Salary
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, overlapping with core school hours (part-time may be considered)
* Contract: Permanent (term-time only, or flexibility around full-time can be discussed based on personal circumstances)
* Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE DOE plus £5,000 Welcome Bonus (treatment of Welcome Bonus: £2,500 after one month and £2,500 after final probation, terms & conditions apply)
