We have a fantastic opportunity for a Preceptorship to Senior Psychologist to join our integrated mental health team at HMP Thameside, a busy category B remand Prison located in South East London, close to Woolwich Arsenal and Plumstead stations. The prison houses around 1250 patients aged 18 plus, including an 18 bed inpatient unit. Within this role, you will work with a broad range of complex presentations and would suit a Psychologist familiar with adult mental health presentations, neurodiversity, and complex trauma. You must be familiar with trauma-informed approaches and will contribute to and support the clinical leadership team in the development of the psychological therapies service. The role includes supervising Assistant Psychologists, and supervision training can be supported as part of your preceptorship.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm or 8.30am-4pm. Part-time applications may be considered.
Salary
This full-time position offers a salary of up to £52,809 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties
* Provide clinical support, supervision, and reflective practice within the Integrated Mental Health Team
* Conduct psychological assessments and support multidisciplinary formulations
* Deliver and oversee 1:1 and group psychological interventions, including the Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' Programme
* Deliver training to healthcare and prison staff as required
* Participate in audit, service evaluation, and research activities

Qualifications
* Full HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist
* Knowledge of evidence-based psychological therapies for adult mental health in prison settings
* Experience with complex mental health issues and forensic populations
* Experience delivering therapies such as CBT and compassion-focused therapies is desirable
