We are looking for a driven and commercial Solicitor to join our friendly team of 4.
Working closely with our internal clients and stakeholders, you will be involved in drafting and negotiating key client and supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual policies and procedures for Elior UK and its subsidiary companies.
Elior UK has an impressive portfolio of clients and suppliers in different sectors. This is a varied role, supervised by two experienced lawyers, with lots of opportunity for learning and growth.
What you'll be doing...
This is a unique opportunity to work in a challenging but rewarding role as part of an established and friendly in-house legal team. With processes and procedures fully embedded in the business, including a suite of precedent contracts, and a playbook, you will work closely with 3 other lawyers with significant contact with senior managers and directors on a variety of commercial and legal work in a fast paced environment.
The role involves (but is certainly not limited to) the following:
* Significant contact with senior managers and directors on a variety of commercial and legal work in a fast paced environment
* Key contact and legal advisor to the purchasing team and support functions comprising HR, Finance, IT, Sales, Marketing, Safety & Wellbeing, and Pensions
* Ensuring our businesses have viable contracts that are legally robust and in line with policies and procedures, playbook, and sign-off process
* Be accountable for ensuring all contracts are in place prior to supply of goods/commencement of services, or renewed and extended on time, and identify when contract variation is necessary
* Lead or assist in the negotiation and re-negotiation process in relation to client contracts and involve support functions in those negotiations
* Support in developing and delivering training resources, both within the Legal team and the wider Elior business environment.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday - hybrid working
What can you bring?
The experience and knowledge we are looking for:
* 3+ years PQE
* Experience in a well-known/national law firm preferred
* Beneficial to have some in-house experience in a corporate business, especially dealing with commercial contracts
* Proven experience of drafting and negotiation skills
* The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with initiative

* Clear, concise, and thoughtful drafting style
* Friendly and approachable character, fitting into a small team
* Ability to interpret and apply commercial principles in legal services, particularly regarding charging and risk evaluation
