I am currently recruiting for a Buyer to join an established convenience retailer based within their St Albans office function.
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for delivering a commercially focused product range that meet both company and team targets, while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued growth in the categories
Building & maintaining strong relationships with large FMCG suppliers
Sourcing suppliers & negotiating best cost prices
Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines
Ensuring selected product lines achieve availability timeframes
Monitoring & reviewing competitor information to ensure your product area stays relevant in a changing market
Forecasting and stock control
Presenting reports, figures & trend information to the Senior Management team
Analyse market trends and competitor activity
Key requirements for the role;
Proven experience as Buyer within a fast paced, FMCG environment preferably Food
Ability to influence and negotiate effectively
Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing FMCG market.
Good level of education, degree is preferable
