Job Summary – What to Expect:
As Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll provide legal advice and support to the business on commercial and operational matters. This includes supporting local market regions within EMEA (such as Central and Eastern Europe) and across CooperVision as needed.
You’ll be the first point of contact for legal matters in the designated regions and lead various projects across CooperVision.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
* Provide guidance and support on all legal matters within the designated regions and lead projects in EMEA and globally.
* Structure, negotiate, and draft strategic and operational commercial contracts, including supply, distribution, purchase, and outsourcing agreements.
* Assess potential legal risks and collaborate with management and legal teams to develop systems and solutions, including training and communication.
* Support Sales and Marketing teams on promotions, campaigns, and advertising, ensuring compliance with EU and local laws.
* Manage external counsel for local law compliance and litigation.
* Assist enabling functions like HR and Finance on legal issues.
* Understand EU competition laws and their application in an international context.
* Collaborate with other legal teams to align with global best practices.

About You:
You should be a fully qualified UK commercial lawyer with at least 6 years PQE, with broad commercial experience, excellent communication skills, and experience in an international organization. Candidates with slightly less experience but strong qualifications are encouraged to apply.
