Do you want to improve the way we manage our waste? Do you want to help deliver services designed to improve recycling in Nottinghamshire? Do you want to help the Council deliver waste treatment infrastructure to meet the changing needs of our population?
The Waste Management Team are looking for an enthusiastic Contract Management Officer to help deliver the future of waste management services in Nottinghamshire.
The role will focus on financial and contractual oversight, compliance and performance monitoring, and liaison with contractors, residents and District and Borough Councils.
Experience in waste management would be a bonus, but in these new challenging times as waste faces its biggest overhaul in 30 years, we’re also interested in people with wider transferrable skills, who can help reshape the way services are provided.
You will be joining a small but focused intelligent client group at an exciting time as the enactment of the Environment Act mean changes to how we deliver waste services across the County are required.
You will support current and future operational commercial arrangements with partners to deliver the service. You will spend time at waste facilities, including Recycling Centres, and will be responsible for working with the public to resolve enquiries and deliver high quality services.
You must be enthusiastic and demonstrate relevant experience in contract management. Attention to detail is essential, as are sound financial and ICT skills, to ensure payment and performance mechanisms are effectively applied, and partners and residents achieve the best possible outcomes.
You must be able to work independently as well as in collaboration and under pressure, in a confidential, commercial environment.
