Team – Member Active Engagement - IT
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
Our Salesforce Software Engineers play a critical role in Vitality’s successful business model by building and maintaining Salesforce and its associated integrations. They ensure quality and timely delivery of seamless, intuitive customer journeys.
Software Engineers work independently to support the development, delivery, and maintenance of Vitality software products, and may support and coach Associate Software Engineers.
Key Actions
1. Implement the software development life cycle: Build, maintain, test, deliver, release, and document user-friendly, customer-centric software solutions. Write clean, secure, and well-tested software, including documentation, support manuals, test and release notes, and interface control documents.
2. Deliver to standards: Understand and apply Vitality’s technical and process standards, manage risks, and protect data. Provide guidance to junior engineers on standards adherence.
3. Provide integrated solutions: Ensure solutions are user-focused, strategically aligned, and effectively integrated across teams and platforms. Support integration testing and process improvements.
4. Engage stakeholders: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, facilitate meetings, understand needs, and propose solutions.
5. Build and transfer skills and knowledge: Develop personal expertise in Salesforce and modern technology platforms. Support junior engineers through coaching and sharing ideas.
6. Collaborate within and across teams: Work effectively with diverse teams to achieve results.
Essential Skills needed to fulfill this role:
* Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I certifications
* Experience with Agile Software delivery (SCRUM)
* Practical experience configuring Salesforce (coded and declarative)
* Strong Salesforce Administration knowledge including security models
* Proficiency in Apex, Aura, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, and Flows
* Experience integrating with third-party applications using REST APIs and middleware
