A new opportunity for a Leasehold Enfranchisement Lawyer to join our national Residential team.The team are part of our national Real Estate team and service Residential Investment, Public Sector and House Builder clients and are one of the largest dedicated Residential teams in the sector.
What will you be doing?
This role will see you advising on lease extension cases, collective enfranchisement cases, and transactions under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967, the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 and Landlord and Tenant Act 1987. Running statutory lease extension files from beginning to end, including preparing and submitting FTT applications, complying with FTT directions, drafting leases and transfers and liaising with Property Litigation colleagues to issue court claims if not completed within statutory completion deadlines. Engaging with clients, producing matter estimates and pre-instruction documentation, exercising high standards of client care and maintaining professional standards, attending client meetings and dealing with legal reporting, and effective financial management.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
Ideally you need to have 2PQE+ experience working within leasehold enfranchisement. You'll need to be able to work as part of a wider team and in particular have good client facing skills and be able to provide bespoke advice tailored to our clients specific business needs.
To be successful in this role you'll need as a minimum:
* Previous experience of working within a Leasehold Enfranchisement practice.
* An in-depth understanding of the sector/market.
* Knowledge of the Leasehold Reform Act 1967, the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 and the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987.
* The ability to assist with the team's wider Residential Investment client base to assist on both property management issues and wider portfolio disposals
