Education/qualifications
Essential criteria
1. •Registered nurse at degree level.
2. •Currently registered with NMC
3. •Post registration qualification appropriate to cancer speciality/willingness to complete
4. •Evidence of relevant continued professional development relevant to the clinical area
5. •Ability to complete set competencies to attain a clinical nurse specialist role within 12 months
Desirable criteria
6. Advanced communication skills qualification
7. Level 2 psychology skills certificate
8. Recognised teaching qualification or working towards
9. Fundamentals in Cancer Care (level 7 module) or equivalent
Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
10. •Relevant post registration experience at band 6 or above in oncology or tumour site related clinical area
11. •Previous experience of teaching and developing teaching materials
12. •Experience of multi-professional working
13. •Demonstrate evidence of highly developed clinical practice with experience of dealing with complex clinical scenarios and interpreting complex needs of patients
Desirable criteria
14. •Experience and Knowledge of Urological Surgical interventions
