The role
Installation Technician Warehouse Automation£45-50 K DOE | 28 days annual leave | National Travel Were partnering with a
global warehouse automation business to recruit an
Installation Technician for a highly mobile, field-based role supporting projects across the UK and the Globe .
This position involves
significant national travel, so its ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road and working on large-scale automation installations at customer sites.
The role- Install, assemble, and wire warehouse automation systems on-site
- Commission systems and carry out functional and safety testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards
- Complete installation reports, QA records, and documentation
- Provide on-site updates and basic operator training to customers
Travel requirement- Frequent travel
- Regular National travel
- Occasional short-notice or urgent site visits
- Flexible working hours during peak installation phases
What were looking for- Experience in industrial automation, installation, or commissioning
- Mechanical and/or electrical background
- Confident fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer-facing ability
- Comfortable working at height (MEWPs / forklifts)
- Happy with extensive travel and working away from home
