Our client, a leading property and business consultancy, is seeking a driven Planning Consultant to join their passionate and successful planning team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity for a Rural Surveyor looking to take a planning steer in their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Position Overview
As a Planning Consultant, you will play a key role in driving business development, managing complex planning applications, and providing expert advice to clients and team members, contributing to the success of the planning team and the wider business.
Responsibilities
* Drive business development by identifying and securing new opportunities
* Project manage and contribute to complex planning applications
* Manage and mentor graduate and recently qualified planning consultants
* Coordinate and respond to development plan consultations
* Provide exceptional advice to clients, team members, and the business
Requirements
* Rural Surveyor with an interest in a planning-focused career
* Organised, self-motivated, efficient, and performance-driven
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
* Ability to identify and secure development opportunities
* Experience in development management, EIA, and development plans
* Commercially aware with strong networking and relationship-building skills
