The Role
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a primary school to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs, including those displaying challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
* Implement behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
* Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to support engagement
* Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
* Support the creation of a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a resilient, confident and compassionate individual who:
* Has experience working in a Primary School SEN setting (essential)
* Has experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour (highly desirable)
* Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills
* Is patient, adaptable, and proactive
* Can build strong rapport with pupils and staff
* Has a team-focused approach and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
