Job Purpose Toco-ordinate,develop,deliverandevaluatearangeoflearningandtrainingopportunities across a whole range of Working Denbighshire participants aged 16 and over.As part of the overall Working Denbighshire Strategy, you will be required to ensure the achievement of learning and qualifications in sufficient numbers to meet our ambitious delivery targets. Working within the Working Denbighshire Employer and Training team the Training Coordinator will develop effective interagency, multidisciplinary and whole sector relationships in order to identify training needs and be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing a range of training programs in order to help meet these objectives. ThisrolewillsupporttheWorkingDenbighshireservicebyparticipatinginotherprogrammes and training as required and to promote and represent the work of the Service internally and with all external partner agencies. PrincipalAccountabilitiesand Responsibilities Work with Working Denbighshire staff to identify the training needs of participants. Initiate,developandimplementtrainingprograms(outsourcedand/orin-house)tomeet the needs identified to prepare participants to enter employment and career paths. Take responsibility for the training and development of participants. Develop an understanding of the range of courses available, their occupational relevance and sources of available funding. Develop an understanding of participant and employer requirements and preferences in relation to the range of training and skills courses available, identifying skills gaps and training demands. Understand access routes to further and higher education and be able to liaise with providers and participants to boost enrolment. Lead in initiating, promoting and co-ordinating the Working Denbighshire training functionandtheachievementofthetargetswithineachoftheprojects?businesscases ensuring that effective systems are in place for the collection, co-ordination and recording of all activity and outcomes information for participants. Select, design and deliver appropriate training methods, activities and materials including e-learning, online courses and/or classroom based courses when required. Work with other Working Denbighshire staff as part of the wider Employer Engagement and Training Team to develop and implement ?Sector Routeways? that bring together training,workexperienceandjobopportunitiesinkeysectorstosupporttherecruitment and retention of staff. Be responsible for identifying and coordinating the skills development, training, qualification or license element of a Sector Routeway Identify and informthecommissioningand procurementofexternaltrainingprovisionto meet identified learning and training needs in compliance with local authority and project specific procurement rules.Monitor, evaluate and provide reports for commissioned training programmes / courses against performance measures. Developpositiveworkingrelationshipswitharangeofpartnersinvolvedinthedeliveryof education, training, employability and careers services across the County and collaborate in joint initiatives with partner agencies (e.g. Police, Health and Education Authorities, Voluntary and Independent organisations). Undertake research, planning and development into new development / training projects, e.g. traineeships and bursaries. Work in collaboration with the Working Denbighshire Communication and Marketing Team to ensure sufficient and effective promotion of the training programmes is available to ensure participation. Maintain and provide awareness of equal opportunity issues, ensuring the highest standards of equal opportunities in relation to training, the preparation of training materials and training presentation, as well as within the workplace. Play an active role in the development of the Working Denbighshire training service, training processes and provide written reports for senior management. Manageandmaintainanyin-housetrainingresourcesand equipment Maintain detailed records of work in accordance with the Working Denbighshire monitoring framework and necessary data requirements of UK and Welsh Government, DCCanany otherrelevant fundingbodies.Always maintainaconfidentialservicethat ensuresthatallpersonaldataiseffectivelyprotectedandhandled,withinlocallyagreed Information Sharing Protocol and relevant data protection law.. EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS A relevant training/coachingqualification, or experienceofworkingas a Trainer ? Training Coordinator,Training Facilitator or other relevant position coordinatingtrainingina community setting. PracticeAssessor/ Teacher Award. AF 2.RELEVANTEXPERIENCE Provenexperienceasa Training Coordinator, Trainer,Coach,Training Facilitatororsimilar role. Experience of inter- agencynetworkingand joint working with statutory, voluntary and private sectors.
