About Our Client
Our exclusive North Kent based client, a large manufacturing company, has a significant presence in the UK and beyond, and due to significant growth and are now seeking a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.This role requires a site presence Monday to Friday, with a view to go hybrid (3:2 split) after the first two months.
Job Description
Management Accountant duties include:
3. Complete all aspects of month-end close for the UK & Australia entities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
4. Prepare and submit accurate monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary.
5. Maintain and manage the UK & Australia finance systems (currently Sage 50 for UK and Xero for Australia; moving to Epicor as part of an ERP implementation project).
6. Coordinate the submission of UK and Australia payroll and tax filings in partnership with external advisors.
7. Support UK & Australia statutory audit processes and liaise with auditors as required.
8. Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and provide insight to support working capital management.
9. Collaborate with project and operations teams to understand workload and revenue recognition.
10. Oversee the customer invoicing and revenue recognition process, ensuring invoices are raised in a timely manner, resolve queries, and recommend appropriate credit limits.
11. Oversee accounts payable processing and approvals.
12. Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up to date.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Management Accountant should have/ be:
13. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant experience in a similar role.
14. Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and financial regulations.
15. Proven track record of working in a multi-entity or international environment.
16. Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
17. Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
18. Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business.
19. Ideally a driver to get to location.

20. Competitive salary of £50,000 to £55,000, depending on experience.

23. Standard working hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
24. Hybrid working arrangement after an initial 2-month in-person period (4-5 days in the office).
