Reporting to the Digital Product Lead, we areseekinga passionate and detail-oriented Junior .NET Developer to join our Digital team. In this role,you’lljoin a team working on green field projects and contribute to building secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications that support healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* Be an active part of an Agile team,assistin the development and maintenance of a C# .NET-based greenfield healthcare application.
* Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to understand and break down healthcare problems into technical solutions.
* Build good engineering habits and write clean, maintainable code following industry and healthcare compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, Data Protection Act, NHS IG).
* Participate in code reviews, demos, testing, and debugging of applications.
* Support integration with electronic health record (EHR) systems and third-party APIs.
* Stay informed about healthcare technology trends and regulatory requirements.
Person Specification
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Essential
* Experience working with healthcare data formats or open standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, openEHR). Desirable
* Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework (.NET Core or .NET 6+ preferred). Essential
* Understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles. Essential
* Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web development. Essential
* Familiarity with Git and GitHub. Essential
* Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., Postgres). Essential
* Strong communicationskills and a collaborative mindset. Essential
* Interest in healthcare and improving patient care through technology. Essential
* Exposure to front-end technologies (e.g., Blazor, Angular, or React). Desirable
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Desirable
* Understanding of XUnit for unit testing. Desirable
