A major print management company is on the search for a Print Buyer with strong Point of Sale experience. The chosen candidate will be responsible for leveraging knowledge and networking skills; building sustainable supplier relationships; and managing contracts with key suppliers to drive best possible results.
Communication and negotiation skills will be essential to successin this role, as it will be your duty to ensure all materials are bought at themost competitive price and delivery, quality & service meet the requiredstandards for all projects. You will also be an organised individual,responsible for end to end associated administration.
You must be a considerate team player, working closely withsales, product marketing, design and production.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Sound knowledge and understanding of all print productionprocesses.
• Previous printed Point of Sale buying experience – minimum4 years.
• Ability to manage several projects at any one time withina fast-paced environment, whilst maintaining good attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in communicatingand negotiating with others.
• Team player able to prioritise schedules and manage ownworkload, highlighting any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Using print knowledge, review and identity cost effectivemethod of printing/finishing and distribution, maximising value for money,whilst maintaining quality, timings and service levels.
• Project manage multiple jobs at various production stageswith brands and suppliers, including proof approval
• Produce accurate print specifications, select appropriatesuppliers and request quotes.
• Review submitted costs, identify discrepancies, potential cost savings and negotiation opportunities.
