* Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective design solutions
* Work within set UX guidelines and principles to ensure consistency and coherence across all touchpoints of user journeys
* Work with the Halfords UI kit and brand guidelines
* Use established best practice UX in all design work, providing feedback where appropriate on practicality
* Effectively manage workload, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and highlighting any changes to scope or timelines
* Advocate for key features and functions that address business objectives while meeting customer needs
* Accurately report time spent on projects weekly
* Work with the business to understand performance and impact of UX changes and iterate as needed to drive results
* Deliver user research, concept testing, usability testing, conduct competitive audits and market research, and convert findings into design decisions
* Immerse yourself in insights, competitor analysis, user research, and data to inform new ideas and optimizations
* Ensure all design work meets group accessibility guidelines
* Participate in team processes such as sprint planning and weekly design critiques
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction or related field
* Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer with a portfolio showcasing projects and processes
* Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar
* Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
* Experience working in an agile environment
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making
* Knowledge of accessible design for diverse audiences
* Up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and UX/UI standards
