Overview
The post holder will be involved in varied duties, both office‑based and in patients homes and other settings.
The role has a strong focus on patient contact and monitoring, along with providing training for individuals and groups on enteral nutrition and the equipment used in a variety of locations (home, day care, care homes, hospital, school). The role also supports patients by troubleshooting and supporting with equipment queries.
The post will be based in the Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service Headquarters, close to the M1/M69 junction.
Responsibilities
* Record keeping, data input and monitoring equipment requirements and supplies.
* Liaise with companies responsible for delivery of equipment to patients homes.
* Work alongside Dietitians, Dietetic Assistant Practitioners, Dietetic Support Workers and administrative staff.
* Provide training on enteral nutrition and equipment to individuals and groups.
* Troubleshoot equipment queries and support patients.
Qualifications
* Previous experience of working with patients in a caring, healthcare‑related field is desirable.
* Experience of enteral tube feeding is beneficial, but not essential.
* Excellent team‑working, communication, organisational and IT skills.
* Passion for working with patients, relatives, carers and other professionals to provide high‑quality care.
* Car driver and willing to use your car during the working day.
* Experience in a caring NHS role is required.
