ADHD Support Practitioner – SEMH Setting, Skelmersdale
We are recruiting for an ADHD Support Practitioner to join a specialist SEMH school in Skelmersdale on a temporary, full-time contract. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting young people and particularly suited to recent Psychology graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in a school environment.
Role Details:
* Full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time only
* Temporary contract with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in education and mental health settings
* Work closely with students with ADHD and wider SEMH needs, providing 1:1 and small group support
* Assist with classroom management, behaviour support, and promoting positive engagement in learning
* Collaborate with teaching staff and the SEN team to deliver tailored strategies for student progress
What we’re looking for:
* A recent Psychology graduate or someone with a background in support work, youth work, or SEN
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
* A proactive, resilient, and compassionate approach to supporting behaviour and learning
* A genuine interest in pursuing a career in psychology, education, or mental health
This role offers an excellent stepping stone into careers such as Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or SEN Teaching, giving you real-world experience in a supportive school setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
