Location: Bishop's Castle, England, United Kingdom. Working Hours: Casual, Flexible around your current commitments. Salary: £13.00 - £16.15 per hour depending on your qualification.
Are you passionate about swimming? Here at Shropshire Leisure Trust our goal is to encourage active, healthy lifestyles in an environment that is safe, warm, clean, friendly and fun. We are recruiting Swimming Teachers to join our team and we follow the Swim England learn to swim framework to develop confidence in all swimmers. Training and progression opportunities are available across our leisure centres, including Quarry, Oswestry, and Market Drayton Leisure Centres.
Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.
What You’ll Do / Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, fun, and progressive swimming lessons.
* Provide excellent customer service and work with people of all ages and backgrounds.
* Teach across our leisure centres and support the Aquatic Training Academy with ongoing training and CPDs.
* Contribute to a positive and supportive workplace environment and be flexible with teaching hours around current commitments.
What You’ll Need To Do The Role / Qualifications
* Hold either a STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (Previously ASA) Level 2.
* Holding a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, RLSS UK NRASTC, or STA Safety Award for Teachers is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided.
* DBS check is required.
