Maintenance Electrician — Full Time — Derby
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Derby.
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will provide support to the Manufacturing Services Leader and Manufacturing Services Engineer to ensure the organisation’s objectives and goals are delivered. You will be responsible for performing Electrical installations, repairs and maintenance on Production & Experimental Test Beds, manufacturing assets and all associated production equipment.

What you’ll be doing
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks across a broad range of manufacturing assets and production equipment across a plant, site or business, to ensure that manufacturing equipment is safe, available and capable for use when required. You will coordinate activities with Production Staff and regularly communicate with Production Leaders, Team Leaders and Production Operators.
* Utilise precision diagnostic instruments during maintenance. Use drawings and data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards capable electrical systems.
* Analyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards maintenance.
* Read and interpret machinery and component drawings, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical diagrams and schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues to enable maintenance and diagnostics.
* Work with site Manufacturing Engineers to understand and restore equipment performance to standard.

* NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant Electrotechnical time served apprenticeship.
* Experience of 3 phase within an industrial environment; PLC certification would be preferable.
* Current BS7671 Certificate (18th Edition).
* Good understanding of Electrical Installations and maintenance operations, able to work to engineering drawings.
* Basic IT literacy.
* Understanding of local and regional HSE Standards and regulations.
