As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the Design & Development of mechanical systems for coding and marking equipment: - Conduct feasibility studies and test,on new and modified designs. - Collaborate with colleagues in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. - Provide designs for detailed drawings andmanufacturing data. The role will be based in our Huntingdon office (office and lab-based work). In this role, a typical day will look like - Mechanical Engineering theoretical analysis. - Generating innovative design concepts and solutions - Detail design of concepts and final product parts using CAD (Solidworks) - Initiatingand evaluating DFMEA, DFM, DFA, etc - Detail drawing with GD&T ofdesigns,and updating or checkingdrawings. - Prototype and testing of designs with detail test plan and report. - Participate in events such as problem-solving tasks and other project events. - Working with team members and other departments, including mentoring/supporting Junior Engineers and Technicians.
