The Role

Working within Specialist Children’s Services in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, which encompasses Community Paediatrics, CAMHS & Acute Paediatrics, you will be committed to addressing the health and wellbeing needs of children, young people and their families. You will work with a range of people and professions with the focus always being to deliver the very best care for children and young people.

You need to be able to take initiative, communicate well with a range of people, work as a team and be able to move forward a range of projects across SCS in areas of administration and project development. You should have good time management skills, have creative ways of working and be open to new ideas. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:


* Location based in Templeton Business Centre
* Fixed-term Contract
* Fixed-term duration for 12 months
* Full-time (37 hour per week)
* Shift pattern for this post are Monday – Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

Key Responsibilities

* To assist in the establishment and maintenance of service specific projects reporting against frameworks and ensuring delivery against agreed timescales
* To provide concise, insightful analysis of performance information against a range of projects and targets.
* To develop the defined workstreams taking a lead and ensuring progress across SCS.
* To research and refine individual areas of performance, targets and measures.
* To advise on implications arising from analysis for target setting, action, performance risk, key and secondary measures, IT and information systems.
* To work collaboratively with colleagues across SCS and wider directorates recognizing the collaboration required for system changes.
* To provide expert advice to managers and clinicians from various services and geographical parts of the SCS wishing to develop and embed projects

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

Educated To Degree Level Or Equivalent Experience With

* Educated to degree level
* Experience of service delivery in education, health or social work or statutory/voluntary settings
* Demonstration of a high level of numeracy including degree level experience of analysing statistical data
* Ability to interpret and present highly complex information effectively using a variety of mediums
* Sound knowledge of NHS (and preferably also of its information sources)
* Logical, structured, rational thinker
* Innovative and self motivated
* Ability to understand the possible contentious or sensitive nature of information and take effective steps to manage the delivery of such informatio

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
