Responsibilities
Provide a comprehensive, high quality, administrative Personal Assistant and secretarial service to the Directorate Manager (DM) / Directorate Matrons and provide ad hoc support to other staff within the relevant area. Be the complaints co‑ordinator for the ED/Acute Directorate, ensuring all complaints are dealt with in a speedy, professional and caring manner.
Work Setting
This role is office-based, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, on site in the Emergency Department at Royal Blackburn.
Compliance and Training
Ensure that personal actions and conduct comply with the Trust Policies and Procedures, including Health and Safety, Tobacco Control Policy, Equal Opportunities, Confidentiality, the Data Protection Act (1998) and Moving and Handling Regulations.
Attend required training courses, such as induction, moving and handling, and fire lectures.

Flexibility and Competence
Post holders are expected to work flexibly within their pay band. They should only be expected to carry out activities for which they are competent. Alternatively, they may carry out additional duties if they are receiving support or training to obtain the recognised level of competence.
