About the Role
Use your clinical skills without shifts, weekends, or hands‑on care. We’re recruiting Occupational Therapists, Paramedics, Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists and Pharmacists for a full or part‑time, hybrid Functional Assessor role based in Newport.
Role Overview
Full or part‑time permanent role only. Office hours Monday to Friday. Hybrid working typically two days per week onsite in Newport. Assessments are completed via telephone, video or face‑to‑face. Structured consultations use secure digital systems. All appointments are pre‑booked.
Responsibilities
* Conduct structured clinical conversations using professional judgement
* Review medical evidence and supporting documentation
* Produce clear, objective, evidence‑based written reports
* Use secure clinical systems and digital templates
* Contribute reports used to support formal disability benefit decisions
What you’ll need
* Registered with HCPC, NMC or GPhC as appropriate (Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, Nurse, Physiotherapist or Pharmacist)
* A minimum of 12 months post‑registration experience
* Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
* Confidence with report writing and IT systems
* Ability to work to deadlines in a structured environment
* Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
Pay, progression and benefits
£40,850 - £43,750 salary with up to £2,000 approval bonus and up to 10% annual bonus based on quality and performance.
Structured pay progression and salary reviews.

4 CPD days per year plus ongoing clinical coaching.
