HR Project Consultant – 12 month FTC
Join AXA UK to take on a fixed‑term (12‑month) contract as an HR Project Consultant. We’re seeking an HR project specialist with end‑to‑end project delivery experience to support our People team’s transformation agenda. This role offers an opportunity to facilitate the successful delivery of projects that support, and drive transformation set out in strategic People plans.
Working closely with Strategic People Partners and stakeholders, you will conduct research, analyse data, identify issues, provide advice and develop and implement innovative, pragmatic solutions. You’ll use your project management and data‑insight experience to solve business problems that have measurable impact and add commercial value. Scope of projects includes organisational design, restructuring, culture, TUPE and more.
What you’ll be doing:
* Scope and manage project delivery alongside Strategic People Partners, People Projects and the Transformation Lead.
* Support, design and deliver People projects and innovative solutions to create continuous improvement and value for the business and our customers.
* Maintain effective project controls and procedures within given initiatives.
* Develop and sustain collaborative relationships across the organisation, and produce and deliver presentation packs and business cases for key stakeholders.
* Provide regular feedback on progress, milestones and blockers to keep Strategic Partners, People Projects, Transformation Lead and key stakeholders fully engaged.
* Deliver project communications, including training managers on communications for change‑related initiatives, ensuring quality and consistency of messaging.
* Offer expert advice and guidance on People policies, processes and procedures relating to project delivery.
* Analyse and report on HR management and MI, providing solutions and strategies so metrics are met and shortfalls are addressed (e.g. turnover, headcount, discipline and grievance, performance management, absence, reward).
What you’ll bring:
* Excellent knowledge and working experience of managing change or transformation projects, specifically in organisational design.
* Familiarity with project‑management methodologies, and ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Experience working with data, analysing information, identifying trends, linking findings to business priorities and developing actionable recommendations.
* Effective stakeholder‑management skills with excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
* Well‑organised, pragmatic and calm in time‑pressured situations.
* Ability to influence managers at a senior level and employees at all levels.
* Proficient in handling sensitive situations while ensuring confidentiality.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of employee legislation and its implications for business.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
