Regional Financial Controller (3 Group Companies)

Our client (a large engineering manufacturing and wholesale group) are looking to add to their team at Divisional Financial Controller level. Reporting to the Group FD and Divisional MD this exciting opportunity will be working within a very successful, inquisitive local group of companies with real chance of progression and group wide visibility at Director level.
Main responsibilities
1. Manage and oversee accounts team to ensure the accounts for a number of companies are kept accurate and up to date.
2. Proactively assist the Divisional Managing Directors and Divisional Financial Controller in providing accurate and timely financial information, review KPIs and provide commercial input into decisions.
3. Preparation of Monthly Sales Reports & Management reporting with presentation of same
4. Assist with the integration into the group IT platform.
5. Ensure regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met- PAYE, VAT etc.
6. Manage Monthly management accounts and monthly variance analysis & operational KPIs
7. Assist in the preparation of cash flow and budgets
8. Liaise with our payroll company on the preparation of monthly salaries
9. Reconciliation of General Ledger Accounts to Trial Balance.
10. Bank administration
11. Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual company accounts
The ideal person
12. Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with a minimum of 2 years post qualification in an industry setting
13. A proven track record in managing company accounts and managing a small finance team.
14. A high degree of commercial awareness with excellent analytical skills.
15. Highly organised, with good time management skills and have a good eye for detail.
16. Good computer skills. (Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages essential.
17. Have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
