The role of Assistant Accommodation Manager will include:
1. Ensuring that a high-quality service is delivered and meets customer expectations
2. Reporting maintenance issues and liaising with relevant individuals to ensure repairs are completed and customers informed
3. Ensuring property inspections, health and safety and compliance checks are completed in line with legislation and policy
4. Supervising a General Assistant and Caretaker, providing guidance, support and promoting the development of staff
5. Assisting the Accommodation Manager with the debt recovery process
6. Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers
7. Working with the wider team on monthly checks of buildings, raising repairs ensuring these are completed, completing inspections on void rooms, and carrying out health and safety checks
8. Complaints management and raising purchase orders
Skills and experiences:
9. Experience in a similar role supporting the delivery of high-quality accommodation or customer service is essential
10. NVQ3 in relevant area (e.g., business administration, customer service) is desirable
11. Some experience of providing administrative support services and using a residential booking system
12. Experience of managing staff within a customer facing environment
13. Working knowledge of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
14. Excellent communication and customer service skills
15. Previous experience of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
