As a General Practitioner (GP) / Advanced Health Screening Doctor at HCA you’ll use your time to dig deeper into lifestyle, prevention and long-term health, carrying out detailed health assessments and more routine GP appointments. Many patients come through corporate contracts, so you’ll be supporting people who are motivated to understand their health and ready to make changes that fit demanding working lives. With access to advanced diagnostics and respected specialists across HCA UK, you can recommend plans that feel realistic and backed by a pathway you trust, rather than reacting to symptoms in isolation. What you’ll do: Day to day you’ll deliver pre-booked appointments that range from focused 15-minute reviews up to 1 hour for health screenings. Other responsibilities will include: Deliver personalised GP consultations and health screenings Carry out procedures such as blood draws, vaccinations, smear tests and ECGs Use diagnostics and rapid pathways to support timely decisions Provide tailored guidance on lifestyle, risk and long-term wellbeing Refer patients to specialists and therapies when clinically appropriate What else you can expect: Community: You’ll be part of a network of over 140 private GPs, with access to our GP Academy to help you settle into private practice and regular peer sessions where clinical discussions are encouraged, not rushed. As well as this you’ll: Hold a GMC registration and inclusion on the GP register (performers list not required) Have a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience Be able to conduct smear tests, vaccinations, blood draws, and ECGs Demonstrate basic health screening skills, though full training will be provided for advanced diagnostics unique to HCA UK Have exceptional IT Skills, digital experience for Health Care Report writing.
