Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Leadership: Direct and manage the accounts department, ensuring effective processes and procedures.
* Team Management: Oversee line management for Finance department staff, guiding their performance, goal setting, and motivation.
* Communication: Regularly update Senior Management and Executive Directors on company performance via written and verbal updates.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate month-end reports, management accounts, cash flow models, statutory accounts, and KPIs in a timely manner.
* Cash Management: Take responsibility for company cash management policies, including forecasts and planning scenarios for board review.
* Liquidity Management: Ensure the company always has access to cash and credit sources.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, prepare, and control annual operating budgets and forecasts to meet financial targets and comply with regulations.
* Financial Governance: Plan, manage, coordinate, and implement year-end closing processes and procedures.
The successful candidate will have proven commercial acumen, strategic business knowledge, and excellent interpersonal skills. They should be able to persuade and influence, communicate financial information effectively, and demonstrate high integrity and openness combined with a commitment to good governance.
