The Derby site is a key hub for capital investment and operational development.The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to take ownership of capital projects across mechanical systems, site utilities, and infrastructure.
Reporting to the CAPEX Leader, you will manage projects end-to-end - from concept and design through to installation and commissioning.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport long-term CAPEX planning, including project selection and prioritisationDevelop engineering solutions in collaboration with key stakeholdersProduce cost estimates (30% early stage, 10% detailed)Lead Management of Change (MOC) processesManage contractor selection and vendor engagementOversee full project lifecycle: design, construction, commissioningEnsure high standards of safety, quality, and delivery performanceMaintain full technical documentation (P&IDs, SOPs, SLDs, etc.)Track budgets, control costs, and report on financial performanceAbout You5+ years' experience in a Project Engineering role (industrial/manufacturing environment)Strong knowledge of steam systems and process pipeworkMechanical qualification (HNC/HND/City & Guilds or equivalent)Experience with ATEX environments (desirable)IOSH or NEBOSH qualified (or working towards)Proven contractor and stakeholder management experienceCAD and SAP experience preferredStrong IT skills (Microsoft Office)Additional BenefitsEnhanced maternity, paternity & neonatal payPaid emergency dependants, carers, and bereavement leaveEmployee Assistance Programme (mental health, legal & financial support)Career development, training, and tuition supportInclusive workplace with active employee networksHealth surveillance, company sick pay & annual flu vaccinationsRequirementsAble to commute to Derby (DE21)Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)TPBN1_UKTJ
