About the Role:
To specialise in leading and delivering Science up to GCSE level to KS3 and KS4 aged pupils with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and additional needs.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher that has experience teaching pupils with ASC and additional behavioural needs to join a specialist team. As part of a nurturing and innovative team, your responsibilities will include:
Teaching and supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN).
Teach pupils aged KS3 and KS4.
Delivering engaging and tailored Science lessons to individual learning needs.
Setting, marking and providing constructive feedback on assignments, homework, and assessments.
Supporting pupils in gaining a strong command of spoken and written English, enabling them to communicate confidently and effectively.
Ideal Candidate: We are seeking someone who is:
Passionate about working with students with SEND needs.
Specialism in teaching Science is essential.
Experienced – ideally with at least 2 years in a SEND environment or similar setting supporting pupils with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and additional needs. Including mainstream schools.
Qualified – QTS is essential.
Understands EHCPs and autism-informed practice.
Calm, organised and passionate about teaching and making a difference.
