Position Title: 1.2 Learning Support Assistant
Profile: GO1 SCP 2 to 4
Salary: £24,413 to £25,185 WTE Pro Rata.
28.75 hours a week - Term Time Only.

Fixed term until August 31st 2026 with the possibility of becoming permanent.

The Governing Body are looking to employ a committed, caring and motivated learning support member of staff to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be a strong, nurturing practitioner who is passionate about supporting stimulating learning opportunities. You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure that every child receives the learning and emotional support they need to feel happy and ready to engage in their education.
This role will primarily be based within a specific year group within Year 3-6. However, we are looking for someone flexible and it would be advantageous feeling confident working across the full primary age range.
Part of the role will include a 30-minute lunchtime cover each day.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience of being a teaching assistant within a primary setting.
• A warm, friendly, hard-working practitioner who relates well to children and adults
• Someone who is proactive and will support the school in securing the best outcomes for all pupils.
• Be a good team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales.
• Knowledge and understanding of Additional Learning Needs, Trauma Informed Practice and ELSA would be beneficial.
• Contribute to the ethos of our friendly, happy, nurturing school.
