Overview
Be among the first 25 applicants for an NPI and PCB Rework Operative role based on the outskirts of St Ives, Cambridgeshire. This is a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities
* Rework of production PCBs from AOI systems using networked rework and repair stations.
* Able to work and solder to IPC-610 and J-Std standards.
* Use BGA rework tools and ERSA rework station to efficiently rework PCBs.
* Support the inspection team using experience and problem-solving skills.
* Undertake occasional board and product inspection when required (holiday / sickness cover).
* Work closely with Production Supervision, Engineering, and colleagues to resolve issues affecting NPI builds, manufacturing, quality and production yield.
* Organise, control and prioritise a constantly changing workload.
* Become competent to operate X-ray inspection machine and investigate build and quality defects.
* Training will be provided where necessary.
Job Purpose / Qualifications
* Follow written instructions and procedures when reworking or modifying PCB assemblies.
* Undertake inspection, analysis, rework or modification of assembled SMD and PTH PCBs for NPI builds, customer returns and modifications using inspection equipment and Nikon X-ray.
* Support and feedback NPI build, work detail and assembly notes to improve quality and output.
* Competent working with a range of hand tools, specialised inspection and rework equipment.
* Willingness to undertake other work as assigned when requested.
* A flexible attitude towards working hours, a competent, keen personality and willingness to learn and work in a team.
Salary and Requirements
* Salary: £25,000–£26,000 DOE.
* Own transport required due to location.
