TAs work with and care for children of all ages. They play an integral part in pupils well-being; ensuring pupils thrive in a positive environment. TA's will be offered a personalised pathway to develop in up to two specialist areas: Special Educational Needs and Disability, Early Years, Behaviour, English as an Additional Language and Assessment.
What will the apprentice do at work? Supporting students to accomplish their daily goals in a variety of subjects
Work with teachers to understand and support assessment
Develop effective and informed practice
Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
Develop strategies for support
Change The apprentice's training schedule (optional) You will be offered off the job training, which is a blended model of learning of doing coursework, training and shadowing. You will be entitled to around six hours per week to do this. On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be awarded the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. You can then move onto a higher-level Teaching Assistant qualification (HLTA) and a postgraduate teaching qualification.
