Job Summary
At Waggel, we’re all about making pet ownership easier, more affordable, and ultimately more rewarding for our members. Every day, we aim to make insurance simple, stress-free, and a positive experience for our members.
We are looking for a forward-thinking Head of Compliance to lead Waggel’s compliance function. This is a pivotal role where regulatory expertise meets commercial agility. You’ll be both a strategic advisor and a practical partner — someone who ensures we stay compliant without slowing down innovation. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into everyday decisions, helping us maintain trust with our customers while growing responsibly and efficiently.

* GDPR Compliance: Oversee data protection compliance across the organisation, ensuring adherence to GDPR working closely with relevant teams on data handling, customer rights, and breach procedures.
* Risk Management: Identify and manage compliance risks, helping the business navigate complexity without unnecessary friction.
* Policy Development: Draft and maintain practical policies and procedures that support compliance while enabling agility.
* Reporting: Preparation and management of reporting obligations with the FCA, underwriters and other relevant stakeholders.
* Customer Focus: Ensure customer-facing teams and processes are aligned with Consumer Duty principles and other conduct rules.
