Paralegal (Clinical Negligence - Leeds)
Location: Leeds/Hybrid. Hybrid working available with the flexibility to work from home and collaborate in-office when needed.

We are seeking a Clinical Negligence Paralegal to manage a supervised caseload, assist senior solicitors, and work on complex, often life-changing cases. About The Clinical Negligence Department: one of the largest Clinical Negligence departments in the UK, with over 200 team members and a strong national reputation. Our work includes all forms of clinical negligence with a dedicated team handling the most severe injury cases caused by medical mistakes.

Main Responsibilities
* Deliver all KPI targets set by the firm and progress cases timely, efficiently, and proactively
* Liaise with clients, experts, barristers, third-party solicitors and insurers as directed
* Handle pre- and post-issue procedures under supervision in a timely and cost-effective manner
* Ensure actions per Proclaim Action List are completed promptly
* Accurate time recording; maintain client files in good order per Lexcel and other quality assurance requirements
* Report to Senior Lawyer as required; assist in collecting and collating medical records
* Prepare client documents such as witness statements
* Manage a caseload of Clinical Negligence cases in early stages and support team members with tasks
Essential Skills And Experience
* Desire to work in clinical negligence; some experience preferred
* Graduate with Law-related degree and/or qualifications such as LPC or route to BAR or CILEX
* Ability to take direction and supervision from the team leader
* Proven legal and forensic skills with good research abilities
* Attention to detail, analytical and organisational skills
* Excellent people skills, service ethos and client care
* Ability to influence at all levels; excellent oral and written communication
* Flexible and committed to meeting deadlines
