Plant and Equipment Fitter Location: Based in Redditch (covering surrounding areas) Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 DOE Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week About the Role We are seeking a reliable and experienced Plant and Equipment Fitter to join our operational team, based out of Redditch. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of plant, grounds maintenance, and arboricultural machinery across multiple high-profile contracts. This role plays a key part in supporting operations in South Yorkshire, Birmingham, and on HS2 sites, including coordination with subcontractors and managing equipment movements between depots. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair faults on plant and equipment including tractors, mowers, chippers, and chainsaws. Conduct regular maintenance and servicing to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards. Travel to operational sites (including South Yorkshire) to carry out mobile repairs and support subcontracted work. Prepare equipment for transport and deployment between depots. Keep accurate service logs and maintenance records. Ensure all work is carried out in line with HSE guidelines and company policies. Requirements Proven experience in mechanical maintenance or fitting, ideally within plant, grounds maintenance, or arboriculture. Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to work independently. Comfortable working across multiple sites and engaging with various operational teams. Full UK driving licence is essential. Flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work.
