We are seeking an energetic and collaborative academic leader to play a major role in the development of teaching and learning at the College from September 2024. The role becomes vacant at an exciting moment in the emergence of digital learning technologies, alongside a need for students to be fulfilled and motivated in their learning.
The Deputy Head Academic is expected to combine the technical skills of academic leadership with a vision for outstanding teaching and learning that is impactful for school-age students today. As the senior academic lead, the post-holder is responsible for curriculum planning and delivery, quality of teaching and learning, student progress and the creation of a stimulating, aspirational and supportive academic culture.
The Deputy Head Academic is a member of the College Executive — responsible for whole College development — and the Senior School SMT. The post-holder is expected to take a whole school perspective and to contribute purposefully to the delivery of the College’s strategic vision and purpose.
The total remuneration offered for this role represents a salary, pension & benefits package that reflects the substantial contribution made by teaching staff towards the success of the College.
A substantial timetable remission is required to fulfil this senior management role and will be confirmed on appointment.
