With a commitment to making a real difference, they are looking for a versatile and creative Communications officer to join their team on a temporary basis.
Your new role
This is a hands on, varied role for a communications generalist. You'll support both internal and external communications, helping to engage staff, residents and stakeholders through a range of channels and content types.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver engaging internal communications to keep colleagues informed and connected
* Create and manage external communications, including press releases, newsletters, and community updates
* Support event planning and delivery-from tenant engagement sessions to staff briefings
* Design and produce digital content, including graphics and short videos, for web and social media
* Maintain and update website and intranet content
* Monitor communications performance and contribute to continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a confident communicator with excellent writing skills and a keen eye for design. You're organised, creative, and comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in a communications role (in-house or agency)
* Strong copywriting and editing abilities
* Experience creating visual and video content (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite or similar tools)
* Familiarity with managing social media channels and websites (e.g., WordPress)
* Able to work collaboratively and independently
* An understanding of the social housing or public sector environment is desirable but not essential
What you'll get in return
- hourly rate of 17-19 per hour paid to you weekly through Morgan Hunt payroll
- Hybrid working (1-3 days in the office)
- Contracted work covering a period of sick leave, monthly rolling contract
