The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Food Safety & Quality Manager to join our Technical Team. In this key role, you will support the Technical Manager in ensuring food safety, quality, and hygiene systems are maintained to meet third-party, customer, and external accreditation standards. You will help drive the continuous improvement of our processes, conduct audits, deliver training, and support internal and external audits.
Your responsibilities will include managing our document control systems, overseeing pest control, managing complaint investigations, conducting internal audits, and managing traceability exercises and GMP/GHP audits in relation to factory standards. You will also work closely with area managers to ensure compliance with the BRCGS standards and retailer codes of practice.
The Candidate
To succeed in this role, you should have a degree (or equivalent) in Food Science or a related subject, and relevant experience in food manufacturing or FMCG. You should hold Intermediate Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP certifications, with a solid understanding of good manufacturing practices. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also essential.
Preferred qualifications include IOSH Managing Safely and experience with retailer audits and quality KPIs.
