Home Manager Salary: Around £70,000 - £80,000 Residents:75 Hours: Full-time, leadership role We're looking for a hands-on and experienced Home Manager to lead a well-established nursing home caring for older adults. The home provides nursing and residential care, including specialist dementia and palliative support. It's not a turnaround role, but the right person will help take the home to the next level of quality and service. Although the latest CQC report hasn't yet been published, the home has consistently met expected standards. Now, we want a strong leader who's ready to keep pushing improvements, build on what's working, and create a supportive environment for residents and staff. About the Home The home is set in a lovely countryside location with spacious, well-kept gardens that residents enjoy. The approach to dementia care focuses on giving people choice, respect, and a sense of community - helping residents feel engaged and comfortable in their surroundings. What You'll Do Lead the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring great care and smooth operations. Support and develop the team, promoting a positive culture with clear leadership. Make sure the home keeps up with all CQC and regulatory requirements. Manage budgets and resources wisely. Build strong relationships with residents, families, and outside healthcare professionals. Focus on person-centred care, especially for those with dementia or complex needs. Maintain a safe, welcoming, and homely atmosphere. Help reduce staff turnover by improving training, support, and morale. Who We're Looking For Registered Nurse (RGN) with proven experience managing care homes. Confident in handling inspections and maintaining quality standards. Skilled in budgeting and managing resources. Someone who's stable, loyal, and ready to commit long-term. A supportive leader who can motivate and inspire their team. A compassionate person who genuinely cares about improving residents' lives.
