Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? Would you like to start a rewarding career in education where you can make a genuine difference every day? We’re looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our SEND Supply Agency and train as a Trainee Teaching Assistant in Salisbury.
No previous experience or qualifications are required — just compassion, patience, and a desire to help others. Vision for Education will fund your training, including courses in SEND, Behaviour Management, Safeguarding, and more, to prepare you for a successful role in a special educational needs setting.
About the Role
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you’ll gain valuable, hands-on experience working in a range of special schools that support children aged 4–19 with needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Challenging Behaviour, Learning Difficulties, and PMLD.
This is an agency role, meaning placements can be adhoc, short-term, or long-term depending on school requirements. While work cannot be guaranteed, successful trainees will receive paid placements and ongoing support to build their experience.
Following a successful interview, safeguarding checks, and completion of your initial training, you’ll begin a paid school placement to develop your skills. After five days of successful work and a positive reference, you can progress into a SEND Teaching Assistant position.
About the Schools
You’ll work within supportive, inclusive specialist education environments that focus on each child’s individual needs and potential. These schools provide:
Small class sizes with tailored learning and therapeutic support

Welcoming teams dedicated to helping children achieve their goals
Opportunities for continued professional development and growth
