Estates & Facilities Management are the campus hospitality provider at Loughborough University. We provide accommodation and catering within our halls of residence and within our various food and bar outlets for students, staff and visitors.
We require an enthusiastic fresh food Chef De Partie to join our fun and vibrant team to provide a high standard of food for students, visitors and events. Based in our busy campus kitchens you will be working alongside our senior chefs who will mentor you and allow you to gain experience of working in all sections of the business.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve food to a high standard in a busy campus kitchen.
* Work across all sections of the kitchen under supervision to gain broad experience.
* Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in line with kitchen policies.
* Collaborate with senior chefs and team members to deliver quality meals for students, staff and visitors.
* Support catering for events as required by the business.
Qualifications and Skills
* Competent and capable in all areas of the kitchen.
* Ability to work with limited supervision.
* Proven ability to prepare and serve food of outstanding quality.
* Passionate, ambitious to learn and have excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
Contract and Hours
The position is available for 37 hours per week on a 52 week (5 over 7) open-ended contract.
