Job Description Accounts & Audit Senior (or Strong Semi-Senior) Salary: £32,000–£42,000 DOE Location: Manchester Central (Hybrid) Clear progression full study support If you’re an audit and accounts professional in practice and want broader client exposure, bigger audit assignments, and a genuine route to promotion, this is a brilliant move. The Opportunity This is a mixed audit and accounts role with variety across a broad client portfolio, including larger and more complex audits as you progress. You’ll have the autonomy to run work end-to-end, while being backed by a team that invests in development and qualifications. Key Responsibilities (Audit & Accounts) End-to-end completion of statutory audits from planning through to completion Planning audit assignments, identifying key risks and designing appropriate testing Leading audits on-site, supervising, delegating and reviewing work completed by trainees Completing and concluding on audit fieldwork and finalisation Supporting on group audits, including consolidations where required Preparing and submitting statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders Preparing corporation tax returns (where relevant to your level) Producing weekly/monthly/quarterly management information Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory standards What We’re Looking For To be considered, you should have: 3 years’ UK accountancy practice experience (audit-focused) Hands-on statutory audit experience with strong knowledge of audit standards and compliance Experience leading audits and supervising junior staff (or clear readiness to step into this) Accounts preparation experience (ideal in addition to audit) Strong working knowledge of: UK GAAP / FRS 102 (beneficial) Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Excellent communication, organisation and deadline management skills Qualifications (preferred, not always essential depending on level): Working towards or part-qualified ACA / ACCA (or qualified by experience in practice) Salary, Location & Working Pattern Salary: £32,000–£42,000 (dependent on experience and level) Location: Manchester Central Working arrangement: Hybrid working with flexibility around office days (role-dependent) Benefits & Development 37.5 hours per week Hybrid and flexible working Study support and exam support (ACA/ACCA) Training and structured development with clear objectives Career progression opportunities (Senior progression and beyond, based on performance) Comprehensive benefits package (details shared at shortlist stage) Apply / Find Out More (Confidential) To apply or have a confidential chat first, send your CV to: Jake Harris j.harris@h-fts.com If you don’t have an up-to-date CV, send what you have and we can advise.
