We're seeking a Recovery Group Facilitator to join our compassionate and diverse team in HMP Humber - a group of professionals committed to supporting individuals with compassion. Location : HMP Humber Hours : Full-time (37.5 per week) Salary : £27,449.52 - £31,529.41 dependent on experience Contract: Permanent About Us: Our HMP Humber service provides vital assistance to individuals within a prison setting, guiding them in their recovery through carefully structured programs, supportive harm reduction groups and regular recovery check-ins. Additionally, we collaborate closely with our service users to assist them with their prison release planning, aiming to encourage and facilitate a smooth transition back into society. The Role: As a Recovery Group Facilitator, you will play a n essential role within HMP Humber. As part of your role you can be expected to: - Support service users from point of entry into the service and through out their treatment/recovery journey. Research, design, and prepare engaging subject material for effective groups/pods. Participate in debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitator(s) after group sessions. Take the lead on graduation events for service users who have successfully completed the programme. Review service user feedback and make adjustments as necessary based on their valuable input. Tailor specific workshops around the unique needs of the individual, such as: sleep disorders, relationships, anger management etc. About You: To thrive in this role, we welcome individuals who embody: Strong interpersonal skills. Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics. C lear understanding of the need for and the ability to deliver quality services. Good organisational skills and confidence to work independently or as part of a dynamic team. Experience / Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing and Psychosocial Interventions (PSI). Ability to understand the specific needs of groups. Understanding of evidence-based interventions in a group setting including those around substance misuse and offending behaviour (desirable but not essential).
