Who we need
We are looking for a Learning & Skills Assessor to join our EMTEC team. Successful applicants will undertake workplace visits in person and using online platforms, on a regional and national basis, supporting our automotive apprentices throughout their learning journey. As a Learning & Skills Assessor you will be responsible for:
* Enrolling new apprentices onto the apprentice programme
* Undertaking Progress Reviews with apprentices and employers
* Liaising with the college's Technical Training Team
* Helping apprentices' mentors to understand their role in the learning journey
* Keeping KPIs compliant against the apprenticeship funding rules and accountability framework
* Developing employer relations and some business development activity
* Supporting with assessments in the workplace
What you'll bring
You will be a dynamic and forward-thinking person able to provide high quality support to both apprentices and employers. As a Learning & Skills Assessor you will:
* Be an exceptional communicator, capable of engaging with individuals at all levels, including apprentices, mentors, employers and colleagues
* Be well organised as you will need to manage your own diary and caseload of apprentices
* Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients to deliver an outstanding learning experience
* Have a good level of ICT with knowledge of Microsoft 365 and OneFile a distinct advantage
* Have a good eye for detail as you will need to ensure Apprenticeship funding rules are followed
* Have completed a Level 3 Automotive Qualification or have relevant industry experience
* Hold CAVA/A1/D32 D33, V1/D34, AET/PTLLS or be willing to work towards
* Hold a full UK Driving Licence and own car

Nottingham College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational general further education college situated in Nottingham. It is a 16 plus with five different sites in the centre of Nottingham. The latest Ofsted report identified 14,029 learners at the school, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.
The college was established in 1998 through a merger of smaller educational centres in the Nottingham area. Further merging has happened, most recently early in 2017, when the college merged together with Central College Nottingham.

Nottingham College has a high success rate for getting its former students into a successful place in the job market or further education. It also provides an adult education service
The college specialises in music and performance as well as excelling in its media and creative courses. It hosts a wide range of facilities to help its learners' experiences, from a hair and beauty salon and art gallery through to a music venue and theatre.
