The successful candidate will play a key role in driving profitable growth by developing, reviewing, and implementing competitive pricing solutions across all modes of transport. This position focuses on supporting both existing and new business opportunities. Job Title: Pricing Specialist Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Location: Feltham Hours: Monday - Friday Key Duties as a Pricing Specialist: Own and manage pricing enquiries, ensuring all quotations are accurate, competitive, and delivered within agreed timescales. Maintain and manage designated pricing inboxes, ensuring timely responses and follow-up Prepare quotations and request for quote responses for internal teams, external clients, and global network partners. Ensure all accepted quotations comply with company terms, conditions, and financial policies. Actively follow up on submitted quotes to obtain feedback, analysing outcomes and recommending pricing adjustments to improve conversion rates. Track and review weekly quote performance (won/lost), maintaining accurate profit and loss data to support ongoing analysis. Liaise with operational teams to ensure smooth handover of confirmed business, providing full and accurate job details. Take ownership of the financial integrity of each quotation, ensuring margins align with company strategy. Analyse lost opportunities and propose alternative pricing or strategic improvements to enhance future success. Support sales activity by following up on leads, updating CRM systems, and recording sales actions where required. Conduct pricing and rate comparisons across key trade lanes, escalating performance or partner concerns to the Commercial Manager. Negotiate rates with carriers, hauliers, and suppliers, confirming equipment availability and ad-hoc pricing where no tariff exists. Coordinate with various different teams including Procurement regarding pricing updates, supplier changes, and policy adjustments. Monitor carrier platforms, rate notifications, and market updates to ensure pricing reflects current conditions. Investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies promptly to prevent recurrence. Build strong working relationships with internal departments, customers, and global partners, delivering a high standard of service. Maintain awareness of market trends, rate fluctuations, and industry developments, escalating significant changes as requires Key Skills for a Pricing Specialist: Strong multimodal freight knowledge across air, sea, and road freight, including inbound, outbound, and cross-trade movements. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Strong analytical and numerical skills with a commercial mindset. Solid understanding of pricing structures, margins, and profitability.
