Specialist Biomedical Scientist - Haematology & Blood Transfusion
Join a friendly, busy department with a close working relationship to our clinical consultant staff. We are MHRA compliant and UKAS accredited. We have unsociable hours and a locally agreed fixed payment for night shifts. An enhanced relocation package may be available. Responsibilities
* Maintain and contribute to the quality management system and UKAS accreditation.
* Train less experienced staff and help develop their skills and careers.
* Validate and authorise results and provide a high-quality service for patients.
* Resolve complex equipment or process problems and perform manual, semi-automated and fully automated laboratory investigations, including specialist investigations within the defined service area.
* Participate in day-to-day stock control and usage, maintaining Blood Transfusion and Haematology stock levels and records, and monitor usage for efficient operation.
